Away for the win!

I’ve been looking at Away luggage for what feels like a million years. I finally pulled the plug and bought myself a complete set. I’ve never been so excited to actually pack for a trip lol. I bought the Bigger Carry on in pink, Large Check-in suitcase in black, the uniform bag in black, and the cubes for better packing. I’m a little OCD so I like everything to have its place and for it to be super accessible to me. The bigger carry on works really well in US flights and Internationally. I haven’t had a problem with the bigger carry on. I was truly impressed how much I was able to fit and how lightweight my bag still felt. The wheels make everything so much better, they feel like your suitcase has butter on the wheels because I’m not the most coordinated person and I look like a pro. I have recommended this suitcase to everyone I know. It is my favorite that I’ve ever owned. What is your favorite suitcases?

Bermuda

Bermuda

My boyfriend’s super sweet family invited us to Bermuda. I can’t even tell you how excited I was, Bermuda was everything and more. The island is ridiculously beautiful, and the people are so lovely. We took a Celebrity cruise out of Cape Liberty, NJ, the cruise was from Sunday to Sunday. We finally arrived in Bermuda on Wednesday and left onFriday, so it gave us a couple of days to explore the island. The first day we went to Crystal Cave which is about 40 minutes away from Kings Wharf; you can take a ferry to Hamilton and then a bus or taxi to the caves. Once we arrived at the caves we were not disappointed. The tour we took was about 45 minutes, you walk down 88 steps which are steep and slippery so make sure you have sneakers or water shoes and you get to intake the beauty of the cave. After leaving the cave we took the bus to Hamilton and walked around the town and then hopped back on the ferry to Kings Wharf and went to the ship. The next day was exactly what I needed, Horseshoe Bay beach. It’s a beautiful beach with cliffs and rock formations coming out from the water. The water was crystal clear, a little cold for this Miami girl, but still beautiful. Now for those of you who don’t know me well, I’m not really an adventurous kind of person but my boyfriend wanted to live his dream of being “James Bond” for a day and wanted to do a “high-speed” jet ski tour aka my worst nightmare, but I was a good sport and I went. Thankfully I went with his sister who by no means went high-speed. I do have to admit that I had a blast and would definitely recommend it. We got to see a ship wreck, feed some fish, and saw some turtles.All in all, I have to say that Bermuda was a success. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Have you ever just wanted to have a relaxing fun night without the Miami party lifestyle? Then look no further than The Standard MiamiBeach. Their Mediterranean menu has all the delicacies that one thinks about while by the ocean. Though you can’t beat the view of the ocean, you certainly need to check out the inside. And by inside I mean the spa. TheStandard Miami Beach is best known for their spa and everything it has to offer; Hamam, steam room, sauna, Roman waterfall hot tub and gym. Also they have some of the best yoga classes taught by the very best in the business.

The Standard Miami Beach also offers plenty of workshops and classes that are available almost any day of the week. You can either purchase the workshop or class of your choosing or purchase the day spa pass which includes using their pool all day. Where do I sign up? Also on Sunday evenings there is dirty bingo! Yes, it is as fun as it sounds. It is filled with laughter and prizes. I once won two-day spa passes and I enjoyed it fully.

There are so many things to do in Miami as a local or as a visitor but The Standard Miami Beach should be one your top choices. Whenever I just want to hang with some friends and know I’ll have a good time without the craziness I go to The Standard Miami Beach. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Stiltsville Fish Bar

Went to Stiltsville Fish Bar on Saturday for brunch and let me tell you, it was beyond amazing. First of all, the atmosphere was so relaxed and very “Instagram-able”but really very cool place overall. It’s classic beach feel with great seafood dishes. Our waiter described it perfectly, “quality seafood and a Key West vibe” which is how it’s described online. I have to admit it was my dad and my friends that recommend I try this place and I’m so glad I did. The staff was friendly and on point considering it was almost full. This place is in Miami Beach but specially in the heart ofSunset Harbour neighborhood. It’s great because after lunch you can shop. Now lets get down to business … the food and drinks. I selected to do the MiamiSpice and I was not disappointed. I started with the hammock salad as my appetizer, for my entree I had the shrimp with butter lettuce and avocado salad, and for dessert, the warm gooey chocolate cobbler. We also ordered an additional appetizer, a deviled egg dish and I’m not a huge egg person but my goodness these were flavorful and just perfect. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Secret Love Affair with Mexican Food

I’m probably the only person in the States who never really liked Mexican food. There was always something that didn’t sit so well with me. But ladies and gentlemen, I’ve found the most delicious Mexican food EVER. Cheen-Huaye in North Miami has changed my life forever. This food is fresh and delicious. The staff is beyond friendly; when I tell you that I’ve never had better service for a “fast-food” restaurant, I’m not kidding. Cheen-Huaye has an amazing Taco Tuesday that is out of this world. Taco Tuesday is the bomb dot com. Tacos are $2 and margaritas $3 dollars off an extensive menu. There are so many options; you can have beef, pork, vegetarian, and seafood. And the margaritas are simply the best I’ve had in a very long long time. Definitely check them out, the link is below and let me know what you think.

What’s your favorite part of the weekend? Mine would have to be the brunch. And brunch at Cibo in South Beach is a true delight. Let’s first talk about what a great price it is. Considering that most restaurants in Miami Beach for Brunch charge $85 and up. Cibo South Beach is coming in at $35, now that’s a steal! Cibo South Beach is an excellent Italian Restaurant. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. The brunch includes a wide selection of meats, eggs, pastas, and desserts. The first part of the line is some sweet breads, olives, cheese, shrimp, and fruits. Absolutely delicious fruits. After the fruits you are met with dessert, but we will get more into that later. You have then your classics; prosciutto, ham, salami. Which are all so delicious. The “Maky your own pizza” is my favorite. It’s true homemade Italian pizza. The dough is made right in front you you. You can choose deferent meats or vegetables to add your personal pizza.  There is also a selection of pasta with different sauces. But just in case you need more of a breakfast before you can dig into the rest, they also have a egg station. You can have them make an omelet or however you take your eggs. Keep in mind you should pace yourself because since everything is outstanding you don’t want to over serve yourself on your first round. Besides the overload of Italian favorite you can also get a great deal on their bottle menu. On both Saturday and Sunday you are able to get a 50% discount on their bottle menu. I have recommend this brunch to everyone. You really cant beat the price of the brunch, the vibe is relaxing and chill. If you haven’t gone then your missing out.
